These companies are pioneers in the field of game development but they are also pushing the developers of processors to move their ass, and that is why we can benefit.

The first person shooter game industry is employing more artists today for help with creating more realistic and more science fiction type worlds. Since the developers are slaves to the polygons they are held back from going buck wild yet there is still a constant shift in technology that allows for better angles creating a more organic look to the maps. Finding and deciding on the best first person shooter games has been tough. I am completely at a draw between Goldeneye, Halo, and Modern Warfare. All three of these games were creative and almost ahead of their times compared to what else was on the shelves at that point in time. All three games cost me a girlfriend because of my neglect towards them and my obsession with playing the best first person shooter games at that time. With that said I can honestly say I had the most fun with Halo and Goldeneye with my friends doing the stay at home and play people you can throw things at. And that is my two cents for the best first person shooter games.
