The First Person Shooter in its infancy – First person shooter games online
First person shooter games online have come a long ways since the days of Wolfenstein. Don’t get me wrong that was an excellent game that helped pave the way for a multi-billion dollar industry. From those days of so few polygons to today where developers are spending countless hours and money into research and development in order to make the best possible first person shooter on the market. Setting the standard has been games that came along like Doom, Goldeneye, Metal Gear Solid, Rainbow Six, Tribes, Quake, Half Life, Halo, Call of Duty, and so so many more making a reunion for me and some Goldeneye. This has now turned into an ultra competitive corporate competition that now employs just about every pimple face that can code and render (except me cause I suck at it). These games and others have taken some very creative design teams years and making the most out of your console or computer is their top priority. With so much going on for the games, it was the introduction of the first person shooter games online that would ramp up the world of FPS gaming.

From the days of playing with your little joystick when you finally got some time to yourself to now sounding like you have a case of turrets syndrome online games are here to stay. If you’re like me you started pulling triggers in the days where a red block would move across that sweet console tube TV and take out the squiggly blocks that were counter attacking you with a yellow block…yeah Atari games took a little imagination. Now day’s online shooter games have everyone from a pre-pubescent white kid that thinks he was conceived on this planet to go pro at online shooter games to the actual veterans of foreign wars that carried that same M4 they are packing on their flat screen. Online shooter games on now a multi-billion dollar industry that is employing thousands of people around the globe sending advances in computing technology further into the future.
